Halloween 2012 - Costuming and Carving

Greetings!

Here is the long awaited (Sorry for posting this late) post on Halloween. :)

 I didn't end up doing much, except the usual of reading folklore/carving/eating candy...*Shifts*

Although I wasn't able to Trick or Treat, I did dress up, here are the photos!

(Does this count as an outfit post? xD)

Costume: Witch. (Disney, fantasy, suchlike. I decided to be cliche, as I had never had a Witch outfit before.)

See the nails? xD. They were fun but hard to grasp stuff with. I pity anyone who actually has nails like these. :D

Bat wings? Plus smashing broom.

I've been waiting awhile to show you these lovely stripy socks! Found them in an Op shop (In an area full of scene kids) for only $1.

Sorry the shots are so bad! I spent an hour on my makeup, making myself really old and Witchy, but the stupid camera didn't pick it up. :(

Back when I watermarked my pictures...Ehee...Here's me as 'Mrs Lovett/Lydia Deetz.' Note: At that time, I hadn't actually seen Sweeney Todd, so I had no idea what I was doing.

Back when I had a better camera....*Sob* Although smaller, those pumpkins were grown out of our garden, and it was my first time carving stuff. :)

Photoshoot with my Sister and Ebay Purchases

In my last post I mentioned a post on my newly aquired items from ebay, and today my older sister took pictures of me in my new outfits.

(Note makeup is much better now due to the fact that Sharon (my sister) applied it)

Medieval dress again

Gothic Victorian inspired, with my new parasol from Ebay!

You can't really see them, but I'm also wearing my new Victorian cameo choker and black petticoat.

This outfit was inspired by well....a cross between Edwardian swimwear and Mrs. Lovett's outfit in the song "By the Sea"

My first band tee shirt! Also there are my new spiderweb stockings and another go at red hair extensions.

Yay for Sisters of Mercy!

I'm planning on wearing this outfit for casual Gothy days...as soon as I get a garter belt.

Outfit Post - Alice Inspiration, with a special guest!

Greetings!

Here is the second outfit I have for you today, this one is not store bought, I formed it myself, bascially the inspiration is from Alice in Wonderland.

The special guest: My dwarf rabbit Crowley!

Outfit: White and black striped tights, striped vest, net shirt, black skirt, white petticoat skirt, black lace up ankle boots.

The outfit was thought of: Alice and the white rabbit.

HE IS TOO CUTE and CUDDLEY!!!

Note: Although I've been raising and breeding rabbits for 4 years, Crowley is a special lad. I found him running wild around the neighbors' yard, and since he belonged to no one, I took him as a pet. And the irony? I found him the day after we had watched Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland.

Sorry this time I didn't get a decent shot of my makeup, I just got nice black eyeshadow today that worked a charm, and a nice dark red lipstick, that when composed with black lipstick gave off a nice purpley red color.

Anyhow.

Outfit Post - Medieval Dress

Greetings!

As promised, here are pictures of the new Medieval dress I just bought.

I wish it'd been black, but it's lovely nontheless.

The main gown is velvet with floaty sleeves.

Outfit Post: Corset blouse and Black Maxi

Greetings!
I've summoned up enough ideas in order to create another average outfit, but this time consisting of my new floor length net skirt and my corsetted blouse.

(Please excuse my dopey expressions and generally bad poses. I'd been out in the SUN all morning.)

My face clearly states how ridiculous I get when attempting to pose for a photo.

Outfit consists of: Black netted maxi skirt, black shorts, black corset blouse, silver cross.

All that time in the sun and I stupidly forgot to bring suncream. OH WOE IS ME...

Close up, my makeup is ridiculous as I only had about 3 minutes to apply it. My hair is just in braids and tied in a knot.

This outfit in general is not that uncomfortable, I wore it travelling on buses and walking a lot without much trouble.

However, the corset shirt in particular is a right nuisance. As it's a combination, there is no possibility of tightening it properly and as such it's too big and keeps sliding down. (Also I think it's a little too long.)

The skirt wasn't as bad, despite the fact that since it's a size about half of mine, (even as a waist skirt) it was still a bit constrictive.

Outfit Post: Dad's 60th

Greetings again, oh my lovely readers! I noticed on facebook (Goth blogging community) that my blog was one of those that was a tad difficult to read, so I changed the font to white. I hope this suits everyone better. :)

Note: To the new followers, thank you SO much! I am still in mild shock from having so many spring up and I think I have just died now...Ultimate Goth Guide is following me! (Do excuse me while I faint)

Today was my dad's 60th birthday so the family went out to a charming little cafe downtown and as mom said I was allowed to wear whatever I wanted, I formed together a simple Gothy outfit. Here are the photos: (Please excuse my poor fashion sense, unphotogenicness, shortness and 'stuffed' looking self.)

And yes, at the last minute my 5 red hair extensions came in the mail so mom braided them into my hair (They are a few inches too long to wear with it out) and as such came a pretty two toned braid.

Ignore my expression, I never do well with surprise photos like this one.

An almost completely meat free meal! Salad and potatoes....sadly there was a bit of bacon floating around.

My outfit: Bought from Op shops, Kmart and David Jones. Note the red braid :D

Ignore fat self, it's because I ate a lot and it was dreadfully cold so I'm wearing double shirts.

I made those mini gloves myself out of a deceased pair of my favourite socks.

I am getting tights to replace these socks soon.

Showing the full braid. Messy, I know, but this was after a full day's wear.

This is my first time wearing a full Gothic outfit on an occasion other than a funeral, and the lady at the restauraunt complimented me on it. (Very nice of her :))

It was amusing though, as while I walked down the street several people gave me odd looks, and while I was admiring a statue while waiting for the others, this old man in a car stared at me with his mouth partially open.

I attempted to ignore him, (albeit with a smile) but when I looked at him a few minutes later, he still had this shocked look on his face, and when I climbed into the car he craned his neck forward and gawked as we drove away.

He must've either liked my outfit or had never seen a Goth before. :P
