Today I stumbled apon Le Proffeseur Gothique's 'Bat Fit 2012' excercise and health challenge: Link here
I decided to join in, and so here is my first post on it.
Challenge one was to keep a notebook with your personal achievements in it, to write in constantly. Here is a picture of my notebook that I just customised today.
| Bats, for 'Bat fit' and Runes translating into 'Bat fit for Cherish' |
| The book on the right is my regular notebook which I also customised myself, it holds all my random art, recipes, scraps and whatever else I feel like writing in. |
--------------
The first assignment, as written by the Professeur.
"1. Write your health goals for 2012. Be brutally honest, candid and realistic about what you want to achieve. Many of you shared this with us on the Facebook page, however it's time for you to write it out in your own handwriting.
2. Once you've done that, your second entry will be for you to explore the meaning of good health. What does it mean to you? How does it relate to your goals? Be absolutely realistic.
3. Write no less than five things that you are grateful for, or that you've accomplished during the day and are proud of, or that you like about yourself.
Share pictures of your journal on your blogs! Heck, share your first two entries on your blogs, too!"
-----------------------------------------------------------My entries:
1: I have a bad lifestyle at the moment, I hardly exercise at all, I eat a tonne of junk food, and I'm way too depressed and lazy all the time. As such, I'm at least 10 kilos overweight, my bust is larger than it should be...Genetics don't seem to be on my side unfortunately, I'm short (While the rest of my family is tall...GRRRRR) and that means that means that I look fatter easier.
I'm 15 and I have a lot of headaches and back trouble because of my lifestyle, I sit in my chair all day without getting any fresh air, I can barely walk (Much less run) a quarter kilometre, and while swimming I can barely do 24 laps.
TO sum that up: I have a terrible lifestyle, and since my stomach hates the food I eat, I daily have trouble eating properly. and even when I have a chance, I often don't eat healthy.
My legs and arms are fat and wobbly/short because of laziness, and I never feel energetic. I sleep in till 9:00 and go to bed at 1:00 am. I am severely out of shape. And although I have a Dutch build from my mom, aka heavy set figure making me look larger, I still have a LOT of weight to lose!
-------------------------------------------------------------------
2: For me, good health is being like I was when I was 13. I woke up every day at 6:30 and did kickboxing with weights for an hour, I ate only healthy meals and fruit for snacks, bags of chips and chocolate were reserved for once a month at the most.
I went to bed at 11:00 pm at latest, and during my time at my swimming club I achieved intermediates and earned 2 badges equalling 50,000 metres. I swam every day for and hour and a half, and on distance swim days I swam 1 kilometre at least. I also rode my bike every day for half an hour to and from swimming club.
Yes, my goals are to try and achieve this at the least this year.
-----------------------------
Entry 2:
I did a little better today, I managed to wake up a bit earlier but unfortunately due to not having much to eat in the house, I ate a couple of white bread buns for breakfast...*facepalm*.
Oh, and here are the 5 things I'm happy about for day 1 of bat fit.
1: I'm going swimming today hopefully, so I can feel a lot better and make more effort.
2: I'm getting out of the habit of not getting enough sleep.
3: I'm drinking green tea again for health.
4: Even though it's hot I'm not as lazy as I was.
5: I'm glad to have joined Bat fit as it means I have to clock in my workouts so I have no excuses for laze.
--------------------
As for the professeur's 2nd assignment for Bat fit, I did manage to dance for 20 minutes...
...But I could barely do that. I guess it'll take awhile until I can manage it well. :(. Also since I don't listen to much 'dance' music, I settled for the Cruxshadows...they really are quite good for dancing :), Repo! The Genetic Opera soundtracks...Zydrate Anatomy in particular is really dance happy.
And my favourite track of today was 'Rocky Horror Picture Show: Time Warp', since I learned the choreography of this song, I had a good bouncing time moving about to it.
So ends this post on Bat Fit, I'm sure I'll be back in a day or 2 with more updates on it.
Yes, posting this on my blog is a bit awkward for me, but I think it's important, it really shows how much I need to improve!
Farewell!
